WE'RE SO GLAD YOU'VE JOINED US!

Here at Pack 296, we're all about family!  When you register your child for Cub Scouts, everyone can get involved.  Parents, guardians, aunts and uncles, grandparents, godparents, and (of course) siblings, are welcomed and encouraged to join in on the fun.  Not only will your Scout make new friends, but you'll find that you do as well.  That atmosphere is something we're very proud of and look forward to each year.

Now that you've registered, you may be wondering what to do next.  Here are the Pack 296 1-2-3's for getting started!

1. SCOUTBOOK: A few days after you submit a youth application, either paper or electronic, your Scout will be registered with Pack 296.  Circle Council regularly syncs their records with Scoutbook, the program we use to track your Scout's advancement.  When that happens, you'll receive an email asking you to connect to your Scout's account.  It's very important that you open that email and follow the instructions.  Here's a video on how to use Scoutbook.

2. FACEBOOK: We have a private Facebook group for families only.  This group is where we post photos, event reminders, share events, and more!  You need to be invited to this group by a member or request access.  For the privacy of our Scouts, we are very careful about who we provide access to.  You are welcomed to invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, etc.  Please let us know in advance by sending us an email at celinapack296.cubmaster@gmail.com or making a post in the group - that way we don't deny them access.  Join us there when you can!

3. NEW PARENT GUIDE & CALENDAR:  Our New Parent Guide includes everything you need or want to know about our upcoming year.  There's something for everyone, like how our Pack is organized, how we communicate, what you need to buy for your Scout, uniforming requirements, what our Pack dues are, and more.  Because it is sensitive information, we email this to new parents as they sign up.  We have an action-packed year ahead and our special events kick-off soon, so it's important that you access our calendar right away.
